Bedroom accommodation

A powerful and common characteristic of addiction is a tendency towards isolation (and feelings of hopelessness and demoralisation), and as a result we encourage you to participate in a culture of engaging with others in a healthy and therapeutic way. For this reason all bedrooms are shared to enable the community to support one another and to avoid feelings of isolation, loneliness and hopelessness. Bedrooms are 2, 3 and 4 bedded.

For those who may struggle with self-destructive feelings there is also an important safety aspect to being in close proximity to others who are supportive and caring. Clearly there is a need to balance this with a right to privacy and dignity, and we have addressed this by providing privacy screens in all bedrooms.
